Through the wake of reality’s storm I wrap you in my arms Gently cradling midnight’s hell Shield you from its harm Close your eyes, love Dream with me Let’s run no further Than where we can be Listen carefully To insanity’s bliss It's whispers hidden In madness’ kiss I’ll rock you softly Stroke your hair Tears close my throat So much I care! I watch your body Writhe in grief Too much to hope That for me you weep I’ve felt your world Shatter and die Though, thoughts of you Bring mine to life So, here I’ll stay To hear your cries Calm your fears Dry your eyes Until some day I possess your dreams When you open your eyes And It’s me you see Sheila |

firecrakker, well that write went off with a bang. It was great and powerful. It sucked me in and held me to the very end. Then left be breathless wanting more. Write on Kethry Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant - Thoreau |

Shelia...This is so beautiful. Every man should be so lucky as to have someone like you. Well done. Hardrock |

Sheila, this is a heartbreaker. What a strong poem! I can feel the pain, and the love within. Sandra |
