So you made some bad choices, that’s no big deal, And you have bad feelings you don’t want to feel, The thing about life is, those hurts will heal, That’s what makes life worth living. So along the way you made an error or two, And you lost all your rainbows, and now you’re just blue, When all else is gone, you still have YOU, And that’s what makes life worth living. They are only mistakes, if you label them so, They’ll only be gone, when you let them go, Don’t fight the tide, when you can go with the flow, That’s what makes life worth living. You can only hurt, if you expose your heart, You will only have pieces, if you tear things apart, You don’t have to stop loving, if you never start, But that’s not what makes life worth living. It’s easy to stay all secure in yourself, It’s easy to keep your heart on a shelf, And you can eat cookies with the Keebler Elf, But that’s not what makes life worth living. One bad experience does not your life take, Your life isn’t over, there’s no time for a wake, Go try again, and love for love’s sake, Cause that’s what makes life worth living. Don’t swallow your pride, stand up and be proud, Don’t hide and cry softly, go out and be loud, Find some new friends, go out with the crowd, There a life out there worth living. You’re not the first to have loved and lost, There are many of us out here, we’ve all paid the cost, But we’ve de-iced our hearts, and thawed out the frost, Cause there’s a life out here worth living. So get out here with us, if you only will try, You will soon learn that you still can fly, You can’t give up now, you’re too young to die, When there’s a life out here worth living. We’re all out here waiting, come join us today, Don’t give up on life now, don’t go away. There’s a new dawn arising, one comes each day, And that’s what makes life worth living. |

Hey Marv! I like this one! You kinda summed up my life with this one. I exposed my heart and it got shattered into pieces. I think I'll just keep my heart on the shelf now and eat the Keebler cookies with the elf from now on! Angel  |

Yeah,so many things make life worth living. I never ever thought I would feel that way again. But HEY!!...... we live and learn. I loved your message here, Marv. You don’t have to stop loving, if you never start, But that’s not what makes life worth living. Ain't it the truth! I loved the inspiration in this whole piece, but these lines stood out to me. Thank you for another wonderful write!  Sheila |

this is very nice. a little happy fluttered in me when i read it. although i must disagree about cookies, but only when my mom makes chocolate chips with little walnut pieces. this was a great encouragement poem.jann elizabeth |
