Needles come, If they touch me they’ll fade me, All undone. The lights are too bright for eyes, They’re searing into my brain, Tears of thoughts gently will roll, Down cheeks screaming while he cries, No bearing of all the pain, No needle will take control. Push away, If they touch me they’ll fade me, Clear the way. The doorway leads to freedom, Flee away before undone. Light binding, Escape the grasping of hands, Dark finding. A window leads to darkness, At the end of the hallway, Longing to be out in night He flees from the great brightness, tries to get his mind away, before he’s bound in all white. Light shunning, Escape the grasping of hands, Dark running. The window leads to freedom, Flee away before undone. Shattering, Bits of himself to the dark, Scattering. Dark Returns. Gloom2000 |

I see images of the insane here, locked or trapped in some inner dementia (sp?) Very discriptive, a good piece for the longing to read something dark. ![]() With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free.. dragonpoe |

Thank you, dragonpoe, Glad you liked my vision of dementia, Where fear is needles and periods of long chemical stupor. Gloom |

Gloom, it's nice to see you're restrained also ...by people in white coats. Scary write because it was so real... Write on Kethry Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant - Thoreau |

I thought I recognized chemical stupor...loved the title too, and the message does hit home. Exceptional, and I do so relate. |

Thank you, Kethry, Glad you liked it, And yes it has been very real in the past. Thank you, serenity, Modern medicine relies too much on drugging the patient, Difficult on those of us that are not sure of waking. Gloom |
