A resounding slam echoes through this hollow chamber Sealing with finality fates ludicrous pursuit Remnants of tattered cardial velvet lay strewn Decimated by the onslaught of passions truth Unsteady hands mend her chain of mail Lacerated by tempered words of steel Discerning between reality and illusion Has painted his paradoxical heart unreal Anguish girds her in anonymity Invisible, guarded from pillaging temptation A breastplate forged in heathen fire Shields rejection's abhoration Insecurity's helmet muffles fantasy's prose Eclipsed behind blackened cape of fear Disgraced, she rides from the battle's throes Where the cry of defeat she'll no longer hear [This message has been edited by firecrakker (edited 11-19-2000).] |

My mind ran the gamut on this one...everything from Joan of Arc to Xena, Warrior Princess. As for title, all I could think of was Love Warrior Defeated. I liked it. Hardrock |
