Tonight, I lay... amazed My heart dancing with the faeries enraptured at your being mindless joy at a treasure found Was it yesterday you befriended me? Innocent naivete we laughed and played and teased But somewhere in our child-like games I found the man.. where the boy once breathed and blessed be!!! You found the woman.. hidden in the soul of this girl Branding me as yours..with a fiery kiss Claiming my heart ..Unknowingly in your boy-man way As if opening a cereal box and finding the prize Buried beneath sugar laden fluff In hushed truth, we whispered our secrets and aspirations.. Unashamed of who and what we were Only playmates soulmates.. Alone on this playground where hope blossoms and smiles fall as dandelions in the wind..
