Miles between us, torn apart, longing, needing, wanting, a broken heart. A lonely tear on a saddened cheek, crushed, lost, unable to speak. Head hung low, hands in face, lookin for ways out of this place. Yearning, aching, crying, the constant feel of dying. Lost, confused, no place left to go, the miles between seem to grow. Caring, despairing, staring, unable to push you from my mind, wishing not just movies, but time rewind. Then put in slow motion, cuz what I wanna do, is spend a lot of time, or forever with my you. Tears falling, crashing, splashing as they hit the ground, so much love, in you I’ve found. How so lucky, I always wonder, you shook my life, like crashing thunder. Hugging, kissing, loving, is when we are together, hoping to be with you, forever. But until we can, we’ll have to make due, and I’ll just keep, memories of you. "Tears falling, crashing, splashing as they hit the ground" thats what i am doing after reading this. it is like you have read my mind. seems all i am living off of are memories. wishing i could rewind my life to when i was in virginia with my love. but alas i am stuck up north with dixie on my mind. very good poem. it has touched my heart. peace, love and rock and roll, jesse Once upon a time there was a light in my life, now theres only love in the dark, There's nothing I can do, a total eclipse of the heart. |
