Thy lips pressed into my brow Loathing I could hardly retain Churned within my depths Tasting thy force, I sat silently Genuflected, Waiting for the moment to strike I awaited thee Bathed in monochromatic existence In realms beyond time Until slowly Gentle ideals invaded mine Two stars became my heart A hundred years' purpose Melded with my soul Thy daughter, now am I |

Jannel, interesting concept of loathing and love entwined. Good poem. Be well Kethry Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed? Rex E. Alford |

sort of... it's about someone who was unsure how to handle the love that was forced upon them, but grew into the love. it could possibly be paralleled to a new step parent, that a child dislikes at first, or any love that at first is not well received. If you can feel that staying human is worthwhile, even when it can't have any result whatever, you've beaten them. -1984 |

I liked this poem a lot. Very interesting ![]() I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
