Trapped inside this empty room Shrouded in midnights veil This heart is mangled, once again banished straight to hell Your words..the lies..before my eyes Surround in bitter mist As promises that will never be Spill carelessly from your lips I dared to close my eyes and dream Of heavens passioned fire Disillusioned fairy tales A cold embalmed desire To wish..my GOD!.. Ignorant hope That you'd come to love.. someday Now sears the scars within my chest And suffocate this pain This lovers knot, now unentwined Released into depths of fire Embraced within the grips of hell Away from treacherous desire Sheila 11/10/00 Life is a journey.. not a destination.. - unknown |

This is the line that grabbed me: 'To wish..my GOD!.. Ignorant hope' That fits in there sooooo well...I loved that. Great write Crakker... enjoyed the read. K The wind shifts like this: Like a human without illusions... This is how the wind shifts: Like a human, heavy and heavy, Who does not care. W.S |

this is one I want to read over and over...so I shall trap it in my library to embrace when feeling disillusioned. Thank you nicely done ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

I agree with the others...I could read this over and over again and not get tired of it. A very powerful poem. |
