A mind wanders and is punished. A man loves a woman not chosen for him, She loves him back. Both are punished, and put to death. We live in a world freed from dirt and filth, and disease. But we are ensnared to the Ephemeral god of Genetics and neurology. We will never be free again. We long for death, but it will never come, For we are the immortal. We are the Human race. |

Those last two lines are pretty shattering... Yes, it definitely makes you think. Thanks for the read K The wind shifts like this: Like a human without illusions... This is how the wind shifts: Like a human, heavy and heavy, Who does not care. W.S |

I don't know. This poem rocked because it was this futuristic predicament of the might be's.......hopefully this won't happen. *quivers* I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

Interesting indeed, well done. Your last two lines seem almost haunting to me, that humans will unfortunaltey last forever on this planet, as we weren't meant to be. "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Me!! http://www.thehungersite.com |
