The Shores of Alone

I don't cry
anymore.
Not like I used to;
like I did
when you first
went away.

I don't cry
anymore.
Not like my heart
will break;
like I will die
without you.

I don't cry
anymore.
Though my heart
remains cracked;
though I may still
die of sadness.

I don't cry
anymore.
There's nothing left
to cry for.
It's too late
for love,
and it's too late
to cry.

I don't cry
anymore.
Because I can't.
Because I'm just
too cold.
My tears
are frozen.

That makes me want to cry, I used to write how I would'nt cry anymore but i did and did and did, but I haven't for a while now. So maybe my tears are frozen like ice.

Lucky, wouldn't it be great if we stopped crying because there was no reason to anymore???

they use to ask me, don't you care what she is doing, when I finally got it across to them that I didn't they stopped asking.
My tears dried cold also. then not cold just dust..

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Great Poem!   Numbness? Yeah, the tears do just dry up.  Good read.

~Catalinamoon,...I could almost hear you reading this aloud.  It just reads so perfectly...so sad though when this happens. Please take care. *Peace.

Your tears may be frozen, but your heart is still alive with warmth. Let that love lead you to a new hope, and someday a new love.

Aaaah, I know the feeling well. You put it into words so well. Very nice, sad poem.

You CAN only mourn so much and in effect then your tears do become frozen.  It doesn't mean they pain is any less.....  Stay strong hon, the light is STILL there up ahead.. Beautiful portrayl here hon  *hugs*
