Abandoned I touch the heart, the one of stone. It's coldness seeping into skin. Replacing all that use to be, Losing self, abandoning. Each day that travels, timelessly I seek to hold onto a void, An emptiness that stares at me, Mirrored only, in eyes destroyed. The darkness reigns in circles wide. Beneath a mixture, salty tears That trickle down to lips that taste The bitterness, the wasted years. Sadly, joy has left the hold. In moonlight pale, heard whimpers, soft, Desiring lips to kiss the hurt And send my cloudlike, dreams, aloft. Reality come darkness, falls. Endlessly awaiting light, For golden beams to set me free, Hoping to survive the night. ~Wynter [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 11-05-2000).] |

Wynter...I am truly touched. I can't believe you dedicated a poem for me. i don't even know what to say, except thank you, you are the warmest wynter I've ever known. (I've said that before). Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |

Yes you have said that before, Ron I just am so inspired after reading, a thought here and a thought there...then words begin to rise in me and I have to pen them. Thank you for allowing me to share them with you. ~Wynter (Warmth) Bliss "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

our paths have crisscrossed...but if it was even only briefly I am glad i could make you smile...you need to break from dark passions...I want to see you write of brighter and lighter things...well as soon as you beat the flu... and then you can beat the past too...rest, get strong and kick some...well you know. thanks you for the kind email...you're the best < !signature--> Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. This is a great work, Wynter. I like the way you are writing, I don't know what is different, exactly, and I have liked everything of yours I have read. But the last two or so have had a different touch, which I like even more. Feel well, friend. Sandra |
