The battle still raging Connor retires to his tent He does not want to be here Why did he have to come? He is here because he is a Knight In the service of his King The blood staining his hands He tries to seek solace in sleep In his dreams he sees his Brianna His only love, the woman of his heart Would that he could hold her once again Instead of this bloody sword To touch her face once more To know the stories of her heart To hold her close in the night This is what he dreams And when he wakes in the morning He looks round his tent And cries that all of it was a dream Save for the whispers of Brianna ---------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

You've done it again. A man of wisdom who paints with word, great job. Like it. Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |

Thankyou Sven *hugs* and Brianna hears echoes of her Connor. She longs for the day peace prevails and he comes home to her.... I'll write a poem about it today hopefully... Thanks Sven you've made me smile after a damned rotten start to my day... *big hugs* Isis *I believe every time you put your words to paper, you change. Each feeling is set free, and you may follow.....* ~Isis~~Sovereign of the Spirit. |
