The rose symbolizes you, The thorn me I grow on you cause Your what i need. Without you I don't exist, Become worthless. You give me beauty And I in return protect Your growth. This was written for my girlfriend for our 2 month. i hope she likes it when she reads in on the 11-1-00 < !signature--> I'm a dying romantic and when i can no longer write i can no longer live -Jeremiah Johnson- [This message has been edited by Jeremiah Johnson (edited 10-24-2000).] |

I never thought of a thorn that way. Thank you for sharing. IT is great to see you back. Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.) |

Jeremiah, I too hadn't seen it from this perception before... what a wonderful way of looking at it! "A poem should not mean, but be" - Archibald MacLeish |

this was very nice. i liked the wasy the rose was used, not so much as a symbol of beauty, but as a living organism. i'm sure she will enjoy it. jann elizabeth If you can feel that staying human is worthwhile, even when it can't have any result whatever, you've beaten them. -1984 |
