The Shores of Alone

I just turned off my favorite song,
the one that made me dream
of laying is his arms again.
IT MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM!

It takes me back to happy thoughts
that were so very brief.
He's ruined this great song for me
NOW ALL IT BRINGS IS GRIEF!

(and it really irritates me, cause I loved this song!)

Sandra....How true, how true.  There are so many songs I can no longer listen to for those same reasons.  But new songs come every day....and new things come our way.  Listen for the music...Hardrock.

I know this feeling. I had a friend who moved away and whenever I hear this one song I think about her. (Not sure why) But I do and then I get all sad.

Yeah, I hate it when that happens  - understand fully what you meant with this one!  Sometimes I'll be driving along and hear a song which brings on such melancholia - it totally ruins my day!    Take care. ~ Tara ~

I can SO relate...songs - aak...how can they ALL seem appropriate sometimes?

And they make it hurt worse too...takes the emotion up to an extreme. Sometimes if I am feeling something very intensely - I will turn music off just so I can experience the feeling in it's own purity.

Ohhh.... I love music! I have those "music periods" when I listen to one kind of music constantly and when I hear it again even years later it just brings me back to that time and I remeber the feelings I had back then and people I had crushes on...
Once I was listening to the song "Kiss me" and then I've had the worst kissing experience ever so couldn't listen to this song for a year!
Take care now!

catalina,
I can relate to this, as well!! It's easy to get lost in music when it makes you think of someone or something...And nothing is more frustrating than to try and forget that person when you hear the song..!! I wish you luck.

Nice...I know I have a song that everytime I hear it I think of my first and only love...makes me cry almost everytime...it is annoying because it was a good song too...oh well, right?
