Behold the Empty

In my hands, once upon a time
was held your face.
Kisses to be reigned upon,
eyes to dwell in.

In my heart, once upon a time
was filled a warmth.
Memories to console
the coolness of the night.

In my empty, now
no lips shall be heated,
by those once electric.

In my empty, now
no eyes shall see,
the reflections of desire.

In my empty, I hold
residue of temptation,
slowly dissipating

into the myst of
once upon a time...
