If only words could express how I feel,
If only, If only,
If only I could really touch him,
The same as he's touched me,
If only, If only...

I've never met him,
Yet he knows me so well,
From thousands of miles away,
He needn't ask, he can just tell.

He knows my innermost feelings,
The hurt, the confusion, the pride,
He knows when I'm on a downer,
And briefly in his rhymes I can hide.

If only I could do for him,
What he's done for me,
If only I could be his rock,
From far across the sea.
If only, If only..

He's had his troubles too,
Misunderstandings and prejudices,
I only hope I have helped him,
Half as much as he's helped me.

Sven I cannot get it out,
Cannot find the words to explain,
How having a friend such as you,
Has been a diversion from life's pain.

If only you could see what I see,
Feel what I feel,
Then there'd be an inkling of true understanding,
Then there'd be a balanced keel.

Thankyou my friend for everything,
For holding my hand across the spance of space and time,
For understanding, respecting and loving me,
A kindred spirit with loving words in rhyme.

Isis~~~Thats what I love most about this place. I have made friends with a few people that I honestly trust very much. And its good that you are showing your appreciation to Sven by writing this beautiful poem. I hope he likes it cause I sure did!!!
