This is a few of my thoughts concerning the politics of war. I just decided to put them into verse here. People don't just go to war for the heck of it, Like they do in the cartoons, with honorable "Good guys" fighting a horrible oppressor, with force and wit. Instead, they go to war all manner intent, (Usually not good ones) Claiming to rid of the horrible oppressor, but instead killing a boy who lives in a tent, On the fields of some dusty, weary country, full of poverty, and people hungry to the bone. Even the Powerful Americans Claim to have honorable reasons to fight and slice Down the "oppressor" of freedom. But only for some hidden price. Oil, perhaps? Or maybe to put one of their own corporations on the map. So what I'm trying to say is, If you're going to go to war and kill, At least do it for the reason of actually "destroying a powerful tyrant" and his will. |

I know how you feel. Good thing you put it in a poem. Thank you for sharing Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.) |

"If you're going to go to war and kill at least do it for the reason of actually destroying a powerful tyrant and his will." If men have to die they should know the reason why. James |

agreed all around. we do so many horrible things, with so many horribly selfish reasons, and convince ourselves that it is for the good of humanity because that feels better. i am sad. jann elizabeth Don't take any wooden nickels When you sell your soul Devil lover, time awaits you Now the party's over You're on your own -the eels |
