Death Calls

Upon the morning's dawn,
Inside a cemetery that's far from gone,
Lies I against a stone,
Away from my home.

Talking out loud,
Like a fool out of his shell,
'My love, My love,'
'Farewell to thee my love.'

Looking upon the sky,
Clouds surrund above the ground,
As rain comes,
From westward bound.

As I depart from this ground,
A strange sound came around,
The sound unknown,
Calls for me by what I'm known.

Wandering around on these grounds,
Towards the sound that seems forever bound,
Approaching a hollow tomb,
Like I'm closing in to seal my doom.

Near this tomb,
Muttering as I stare that the sound comes from where I bear,
Looking into this pit of death,
Flowers are placed but blossoms are not found.

Shivers went up my backside,
As a ghoul came up out of its ghastly gloom,
Hovering above the ground,
Like a ghost from out of town.

With fear in my heart,
And my mind ready to depart,
I look upon its face,
Finding nothing in its place.

As it spoke,
I felt I was at the end of my rope,
'Death I am,'
'And souls I take.'

'I came here to make you go insane,'
'And take you with me back in vain,'
'Beanath the ground,'
'Where your fate is forever bound.'

My mind is gone,
While alone with no soul.

This poem is too good man. Great work. This are my favorite lines out the other favorite lines I had to choose in your poem.

Looking into this pit of death,
Flowers are placed but blossoms are not found.

Ronil (The sweet sound of summer sends serenity through my soul searching for that evermore solitude.)

Strange how we look at Death. This is some good work Ares, and not bad at all for a first post.
