I Don't Want to be Right

Unfaithful...
a wife
Unforgiven...
by a husband unwilling to take
her back into his life.
Why???
he couldn't stand anymore pain.
he wouldn't accept any more strife.
In conclusion...
Now he has buckets of pain
soaking him like torrential rain.
Serves him right...
being sad and lonely
in the middle of the night.
Can't believe I'm wrong
and I don't want to be right.

I think that it was very brave of you not to take her back if she caused so much pain... but I can understand that it's really hard to go on without her if you love her still... Thank you for sharing, it was beautiful. All the best, James!

This is sad. But why dont you think of how she would feel if you were unfaithful. Do you think that she would take you back? I admire you for doing what you did. If it caused so mauch pain its not worth forgiving her. I also admire you for having the courage to post this. cause it sounds like you are going through a difficult time. Keep up the good work!!

what's most important is how you feel jmlee, If you think that you can work it out do it, but make sure it's for all the right reasons. Not just because it's the easy way. I applaud you for your poem and for being you.

Some people take their spouse back and still not forgive them but keep making them relive their mistake over and over again..They really dont forgive them so i think it is best not to take them back at all if one is going to do that..nicely written James

Thank you all...I am no angel...I am not saying look at what my terrible exwife did to me...she must have had her reasons...obviously I was not the right man for her...I wrote this poem to reflect my frustrations...there are no winners when Love goes bad...I could not take her back because my heart cannot live without Love and now that I have not taken her back I miss her and the companionship that we shared.  But that journey has ended and it is a lonely world inbetween.  The loneliness I am talking about is not being alone...it is being with many and unable to find someone special...I want to meet the woman that needs me...and she tells me that...and her actions reflect that...James
