Just Happens To Be Me A realization is becoming clear, weather it is simply just time passing, the gaining of wisdom or hardship win or loose something is in lighting me. You are the father I never had, a lover meant to be, you are sweet sister delight I dreamed of every night. You are the soul mate that never found their way, true friend I thought one should be. The child never born lost deep in memories. Long distant aunt that never became part of my history. School mate made up just so I would have company on those long stretched out days of adolescence gone astray. You are all I could have had. you are all the one’s I wanted to be with me in my life. This realization coming so crystal clear is that all of my wanting was always right in front of me, for I am all that I need from those who didn’t care. I am the total sum I’ll ever need. So father, lover, sweet sister delight don’t worry I ask no more of you, go about your lives in your misery. Children, school mates, aunts and the like, I have found the one who will take care of me. So crystal clear all those fantasy’s do not need them haunting me, I now have found someone I can love, trust and not be afraid of and that just happens to be me. this is a wonderful poem, and your absolutely right when we begin to look at ourselves and take care us ourselves which is so hard at times to do things have to get better, thx so much |

Wow... this is such a powerful poem. If I would ever feel like that it would surely be a miracle... I think I always like the neighbour better than myself... Wow! I'm happy you feel this way, it's a great motto for life! |

Hi Everyone, Thank you for you wonderful replys, I hate to admit but I live a life of the exact opposite than this poem that is why I wrote it so just maybe I could start heading down that road of not leting everyone hurt and abuse me, I want SO VERY BADLY to be able to walk with my head held high and not look down at people but not always be afraid of them and I know that the first place I have to start is by learning to love ME, but that is a really hard thing to do, thank you again. Hmmm...yes, sometimes some people really need to find themselves and learn how to be totally independent...but don't knock the soul mate thing. Even though I think there's times when I would definitely make my best soul mate. I'm so picky!! LOLVery nice poem, Cerenity...it sounds like you are on the righ track with this and you penned it extremely well. Cerenity......You write such deep heart reaching poetry, with so much feeling! A good poem to me....is this.....when it moves the soul, and this definitely hit my heart til the point of attack! Reminded me soooooo much of me. Thank you soooo much for sharing it, it showed so much truth and conviction. I really enjoyed it...and SAVED it! |
