All of the teen-angst poetry has made me thinking about my teen angst poetry…so I am sharing something from my archives. My dear friend, Who shall remain nameless. I owe you recognition For I am blameless. It’s because of you; Your harsh words and ways Still ring in my ears Even to this day. I understand now Why you did what you did. I understand now, But did not as a kid. I always believed The things you said to me, You never knew How believable you could be. It is because of you That I am where I am. It is because of you That I live this sham. I pleaded guilty But none listened to me. They put me here As if I’d change my plea. You think that you No longer have to hear My whispers of death You are wrong my dear. For I am coming Coming to join your shell. I shall be there To see you in HELL. -December, 1989. Maybe not teen-angst, but written when I was a teen. ![]() < !signature--> Don't care what people say Just follow your own way Don't give up and use the chance To return to innocence. -Enigma [This message has been edited by sonjes (edited 08-31-2000).] |

Sonjes - you were a talented teen then weren't you? Good stuff, and thanks for sharing it! ![]() *Our deeds travel with us from afar, and what we have been makes us what we are..* ~Isis~Goddess~~Sovereign of the Spirit~ |

Very teenish. I can sense the same uncertain anger that still permeates my being. Perhaps we should all have a reunion of the unbound…in hell I mean. See you there! ---------------------- Spreading insanity, one post at a time “Writing about darkness comes easily for me. I just close my eyes and write what I |

Isis - Yes, well...I think this is one of the few rhyming poems that I wrote WAY back then...sometimes its fun to revisit those "bewildering" times. Thank you. Deranger - Being a teen is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do...I hope my own kids skip the age of fifteen. I shudder at the thought. By the way, I enjoy reading the poems written by the "younger" crowd, because I can usually relate. ![]() |
