Thy Memories Consume Haunting forever are the visages of the past Shadows of a time long ago do always stalk Your crumbling mind without remorse Sins and horrors sometimes come back To consume you from within You gasp for air in the midst of the night As a crippling nightmare chokes you With the ghosts of your eternal sins Your daemon’s do exist tonight Within your corroded mind Seemingly you struggle for life’s refuge Yet you deny your own saddened past Blackened are your memories inside As they tear into your maddened soul Slowly as thy memories consume… Darkness upholds Light as much as Holiness downs the Evil within... |

Hey everyone I haven't posted a poem in a long time... I was very ill (mentally) Hope I get some responses again... Oh and for once I can write without a broken heart... Hope to hear from you! Darkness upholds Light as much as Holiness downs the Evil within... |

Welcome back! A great piece you got there... I for once do enjoy nostalgy and memories of the past, but maybe it's coz now I see everything in this rose light... Take care! |

Memories do consume, but somehow we have to make new memories that will overtake the bad ones. Very good poem and welcome back. |

Dear Broken (And Since Repaired) Heart You are well enough to have written this haunting poem - so you are well now to face the world - and draw strength from memories - not sorrow any longer. Hope to see you write a Ballad of Hope very soon Deepak |
