Feather whispers,
nibble gently at my periphery.
Whispy scents
of hushed voices
flit about my mind's edge.
Malignant uttterings
concealed in benign mutterings.
Suppressed whispers
gnaw dilengently
at my once, well-trained sentience.
Deceiving my suburban reality
with smoothly wicked circumlocution.
Coniving locquacity
worming through pedestrian comfort
Sowing seeds of licention
fertilizing the crop
of growing iniquity.



Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

Hey, this was lost on page two, and I think it is very creative. Interesting use of words.

I just read this for the first time (not counting when I wrote it), interesting use of words does seem to sum up this poem, indeed.  Perhaps next time around I will write something actually worthy of literary consideration...
