A Haiku series Thought i'd try somethin' different Hope that you enjoy... To some, when it hits A most cleansing Purgatory Or a slow torture Many in it's ways Each introduction different With the same outcome Sometimes expected And other times so sudden So devastating It makes us stronger Only in healthy doses In moderation In time, you'll feel it, For it's inescapable It's a part of you -"Victory needs no explaination, Defeat allows none." I like your poem. I never thought of pain in that sense. By the way I like your saying "Victory needs no explaination and Defeat allows none." Ronil (What I say I live by and what I live by is what I create). |

!!! I liked this one very much. I believe that this one will be well received on Open Poetry 9 also, especially by Marge Trindal, the Queen of Haiku's. Again excellent poem. Garfield |

Sometimes expected, and other times so sudden... so devastating. Loved that stanza. It truly is devastating... well written! I haven't seen a haiku in SO long. Great job!! Never give your heart away, it will always come back broken. ~Lil OnE~ |

Hi !!!, Awesome job here, very thought provoking and much wisdom, I cannot get this Haiku thing tried but I'll read all of yours OK. Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

inetrestign format ..i liked a lot as for the poem itself..very true...taken in moderation it is healthy for how can we not know true pleasure, if we are but oblivious to pain? i think that is the problem with Plato's "Republic" and other utopian idealized societies. Thanx for letting me ramble "my love is my motivation my love is my inspiration perception of this poem is your interpretation" -- me |

!!!. Great format loved all the Haiku's within the poem. I agree you should post this in open. Here's a small one in return Love the promised hope Even though it causes pain Living, learning then. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
