* Let yourself be open and life will be easier. A spoon of salt in a glass makes the water undrinkable. A spoon of salt in a lake is almost unnoticed. * Quote by Buddah... I toil, I strive so valiantly, To be the absolute best I can be, Perhaps therein lies the pride and sin, Pride has such a self gratified grin. I lend an ear to those in need, Offer love, friendship and advice, Perhaps my words never will suffice, For things they feel are missing in their life. A friend to love and who loves in return, Is so much better than no love at all, We draw strength from those in our lives, With even the smallest amount of love we can stand tall. I see so much saddness and pain, And for some it seems that the hurt will always remain, If only I had the power and knowledge of Buddah above, If only my arms could embrace the world with love. I cannot do that, of this I am sure, But I can send out caring for those in need, A few words of understanding, a nod of acknowlegement, For some it may be all they need. This is a very nice poem which i enjoyed reading. I also like the quote by Bhudda at the top of the poem as well. |

I agree, Isis, thats why I search around for poems with few replies. I think no one should feel neglected or unloved. Of course its impossible to heal the world, but it is the effort that counts, hopefully. You are a true giver, and I hope you find the joy you deserve in your personal life. Sandra |
