Hey girl, what ya doing there With ya eyes so blue Lookin' out at this world How's it been treatin' you? The tears they fallin' freely On lifes cruel pathway What's that ya say girl - Tough? Hey, ain't it alway? Welcome to the scene of life Girl, what ya see is what ya get Hey, but don't sit around and Take no **** - life isn't set. Come on now, smile girl Didn't you know life's what ya make It. Lift those shoulders, stand proud Hey, girl, life's what you can take. ~ Tara ~ |

Tara....great poem. I like the short, direct type...and I like the use of the dialect...it invoked visions of tough street people, hardened by years of pain and poverty, steeled to the visicitudes of life, still finding something positive. Loved it. Hardrock |

Great Tara, yes hard it is , and we seem to take all that we can stand somethimes. I love the hard lines telling her?self to harden up and stand up. yes. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
