Not only passion do I need,
a friend, some love, a man who heeds.

Someone who cares about my heart,
a man who hates our time apart.

A bit of romance is acceptable,
sweet words and candles on the table.

If he's developed listeniing skills,
all for the best, he fits the bill.

Passion comes so free to men,
as for the rest, not one in ten.

So still I seek the perfect one,
"I love you" will not make him run.

'Till then, just passion can be had.
For wasted time, it's not so bad.

Passion is definately NOT a wasted emotion. But I do understand the longng for more.... Great poem!!

Very interesting cat...I don't want a woman that says she likes me or loves me and has no action to back up her words...I want a woman that wants and needs me and demands lots of my time and attention...of course it has to be the right one...James

These words ring all too true for so many...you speak hear, but sometimes I think maybe just passion is wasted time when you are needing so much more.
