BACKSTEP Looking back upon my life, I've seen many pleasures and pains. From people that have come and gone, taking a piece of me each time. I wish I could hold on to them all, but you can never go back. Once you've passed certain points you can never go back. The people and feelings may be gone but their shadows still remain, Spectres to haunt my nights, never giving me complete peace. Always trying to bring back the past, keep those friends beside me. But life doesn't work that way, people change, move on, outgrow each other. It's sad , but it's reality, plain and simple. What once was a best friend can turn to a stranger over time Still as long as we remember them, they're here. Maybe not in person, but in our hearts. By keeping their memory alive We can relive our times together. Yes you can never go back to what once was, but in our hearts we can visit now and again. Look back at your past, but don't stare too long.You might not like what you find |

All too true hon, and memories of loved ones and friends and special times shared together are lovely to visit again once in a while!!  P.S. And the ones that haunt you usually do for some special reason, to remind you of love, or something special you had, or soemthing special you did, or that they see in you.. *Our deeds travel with us from afar, and what we have been makes us what we are..* ~Isis~Goddess~~Sovereign of the Spirit~ |
