Written for those whom have been (are being) abused. I went to the doc today I was in a bad way The tears were really flowing I was having an awful day. There was this big gaping wound Which he looked at and sighed Then peered inside to my heart His disgust, he could not hide. He reached for the medical tape Gingerly put my heart back together With a shake of his head, said “That gaping wound may be there forever”. “The wound is your soul,” he went on “A scar always abused, cut open You know it will never heal When your heart’s forever being broken.” He put a fatherly hand Over my newly patched heart And said with encouragement “You can now make a new start”. I walked out of doc’s room All patched up, I thought “for awhile” Then deep within my soul The wound started mending, I gave a smile. ~ Tara ~ 21.8.00 |

Yes Tara, there is a new begning, and although it never heals, it does close to be unnoticed, and life goes on. been there done that. love the work kid. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
