I Spent the Night Away I thought my world had ended Crushed my heart, he did. No need to say it in that way, Now pain is hard to rid. When wishes turn to sawdust And the woodpile's a termite fest, Everything means nothing, And nothing is the best. I spent the night away from here, Thought distance heals the mind. Truthfully, my spirits lift, from those who were so kind. Before I left, he promised me Home, he'd come to talk. When no one showed, I tracked him down And turned away... to walk... Slowly, this one promise, too With slight hope, thought attached, Turned into nothing, once again As seatbelt, I then latched. And drove away, with tearful eyes, And talked myself to death. That long, long ride to get away, I sighed myself, each breath. I spent the night away from him, But home, I came once more. Empty greeted, face to face, As I walked through the door. MMoonchild, how I feel for you, for this situation. Things need to be mended, and he won't communicate or try, almost pious with his rightfulness even though he is wrong. Maybe not completely but wrong nonetheless. There is nothing more heartbreaking when the dominate you this way, and cannot or willnot discuss it, I know I have been there.. So sorry hon, such emptiness is so unrewarding for you both. Some I afear never realise.. at least you do. If you need to talk I am here anytime for an email. Meanwhile, you my friend, have to find your peace without him, on your own, for yourself, now and always.. Isis I thank you for your kind offer and words...I dont know why but I haven't been able to focus on my direction yet I know where I have to go...yesterday I was strong in mind today, I am weak at heart and dragging...who knows what tomorrow will bring ~~soft hugs and thanks Maureen |

LOTR no anger Richi...anger was in the last 2 years of dealing with it...knowing the truth leaves me hurt and empty..the words are of hurt and loss of trusting that forever was really a word of meaning...the only certain forever is when one dies they are forever gone...on this earth thank you Maureen [This message has been edited by MMoonchild (edited 08-21-2000).] |
