I have walked the path of excellence, I have run the path of intelligence. I have hiked the path of prosperity, and still, I am alone. I have seen the love, but never felt it. I have seen friendship, but never had it. I have seen happiness, but never known it. And still, I am alone. Everybody thinks, "That girl, she has it all". But if they only knew how she felt inside. If they only knew how much she hated herself. -How much she despises waking up each morning, having to face the day. Yeah, she has a smile that can't be beat, but if they only knew... She has been on every path known to man and still she is alone. She's on an endless losing streak, and she believes that no matter what she does, she'll always end up alone. And nothing can change that, so it's over. The stage is empty, the curtains are still. There's no audience, no screaming, no laughing, no blank eyes forced to stare. The concert is over, they've all disappeared. The cast... the crew... gone. No longer here. It's all over... there is no more. The ending of the pain, the cease fire of the inner war. A war that rang on forever in here mind. It couldn't be stopped by her, it could only be stopped by time. Well, now it's stopped, there is no more. Goodbye, my dear, you've been released from the war. Never give your heart away, it will always come back broken. ~Lil OnE~ |

I think I understand what you want to say in this poem - but perhaps dont feel exactly what you felt while writing it. It is a touching poem nevertheless. Deepak PS - Glad you got rid of your beast! |
