Stairway To Luna

On this night with temperate breeze
Luna hangs low in the sky,
remnants of a magnificent thunderstorm
that would of pleased the Gods
left billowy stacks of clouds that resemble
stairs reaching to Luna’s realm.

Luna in her fullness, a tone soft and
gentle to the eye begins
her dance. Peace has fallen on the land
the quiet is soothing
to the ear. At this moment I fell as if I
were the only soul in
the universe and Luna is calling
me to her realm.

She calls ever so softly to come stay a while
see as she sees, enjoy beauty
beyond the imagination, see the earth
in shades opposite  day,
dance with her around this blue crystal orb
as she makes her fullness
known to the inhabitants of the earth.

Luna the enchantress of the night graced
in beauty and wonder has
been the beginning to many a love story,
and the eye that sees mans
souls for what they are, dances only once
in a cycle in her fullness but
continues her watch from the heavens each
and every night with tender
affection for the earth and its inhabitants.

I feel peace and serenity have come over
me and I know in my heart
Luna has blessed me with her presents, shown
me of her beauty, on this
night she’s given my spirit that in which it
was in great need love,
untainted pure in grace and harmony,
a love that will last a
life time. I shall remember this night that
my soul was enlighten to
the true beauty that only Luna possesses,
and watch for her to make
her way to me in dance, knowing she will
never be far.

Cerenity I agree with Maureen. The moon is very beautiful and so is this poem.

I too, love the moon and its magic. Have written many a poem on the subject. This is glorious.
