The air around me lurks
I can feel the heaviness
of the air.
The sounds seem to scream
in their silence, I only hear.
Your hands reach for my throat in the darkness
I cannot breath( I swoon)gasping for my breath.
Please let me live!
But you clutch my throat even more
looking at me like a wild animal
your eyes blood red.

You say to me just give me your soul
and for you I'll let you breath once more.
I seem to go deep into the crevices of of my soul
wandering if I can give what I thought I had not.

Will I need to have my soul
or can I exist with just this shell?

He whispers again with his raspy voice
Give me your soul!
There and then I realize
that I must wake from this nightmare
I gasp, I scream, I scream
Then I awake and breath like I never have before.

( once you've lost something you thought you never had before but realize you had it all
along, you begin to realize
Sometimes we overlook the good things in life and look for only the dispair. I guess it's just a human characteristic we all share.

Great Job here
the nightmare seems so true
you are right but  I think sometimes
despair is forced upon us
As we try to fight for happiness
without feeling despair and lonliness
we couldnt feel happiness and joy
and look at all the beautiful work that comes from some despair.
I do not thrive on despair
but for some like me it is an illness
that we must waddle through.
Great job
keep it up
Blue

Hi blue, I to wallow sometimes in my dispair always reaching, climbing my way out. But there are moments that I cave into a gloom and feel consumed.

Such an intriguing picture you paint hon!!  I was mesmerised by the dream and your words of wisdom at the end, a different format that I really enjoyed..  Great stuff

Hello Rosebud!

There is no one who loves pain itself, who seeks after it and wants to have it, simply because it is pain. - Cicero, de Finibus

I really hope that this guy is right but I tend to think that you are. I really liked this one.

thx Jmlee and Bjorn, sometimes are dreams seem very real don't they? I enjoyed writing this myself. It does put a sense of reality in our dreams. So often I wonder where my dreams come from. Sometimes I think man I should have had that cake before I went to sleep. lol
