Sometimes late at night I hold you close to me. I listen to you breathe, My beautful baby. Sometimes late at night I hear your gentle cry. I wrap you in my love, Wipe each tear from your eye. Sometimes late at night I can feel your heart beat Little rythmic pulses. The sound is ever sweet. Sometimes late at night I cry myself to sleep remembering your dad, the vow he didn't keep. Sometimes late at night I can still see his face Raging as he kicked me, Taking what he can't replace. Sometimes late at night I truely wish that I could have protected you from him. I want to die. Sometimes late at night I hold you close to me. I listen to you breathe My beautiful baby. [This message has been edited by BreyerRose (edited 08-14-2000).] |

Oh this is so tragic, I am so sorry if you went through this. Such an expression of pain. You should go read my poem evil, from a week ago, it sounds like the same man. Take care. Good thoughts going out to you catalinamoon Words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think. Lord Byron |

Incredibly sad and ever so tragic. I am truly sorry if you indeed did go through this. I have a couple in my archives that can almost relate... like cat said... we all seem to have the same man in common. *((HUGS))* The titles of mine are, "A Game of Cherades" and "Silence" If you've got nothing better to do, check them out. Great work, capturing this, though. Never give your heart away, it will always come back broken. ~Lil OnE~ |

The child you have, born of hate can soften your heart for your mate but if things don't change when it's said and done run for your life with your little one. Sad, strong poem. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
