Walk with me, There’s a long shadowed pathway; Care to see? Forest edge of the old wood, Seldom there, And from there, I’ve heard no good. There’s a long shadowed pathway, Always dark, Creeping dark, in brightest day. Following in the grayness, Eyeless sight, Sounds not sight, all is sameness. Do you hear the whisper sounds, Feel the air that’s closing in, And moisture rises from ground; Wearing insect bitten skin. An old wood, Dankness of many ages, Puddle trail, Touch and smell, Fullness that causes rages, Dismal wood. What’s beyond? What does the path lead you to, Why the care, Why go there, You really don’t know do you? What’s beyond? Shadow path, Entering in epitaph. Gloom 2000 |

Gloom overshadowed by darkness with a creeping sense of horror. It gave me the chills, cause I know where that path leads. Good poem nice metre. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

Creepy but beautiful. I can feel the moistness of the pathway and its shadows travelling through the skin and departing through a tear. Wonderful. |
