Short swift motions of a blade.
So little effort derives such sweet pain.
You gaze in horror at the marks upon my flesh,
and are hesitant in wondering if there's any sanity left.
"Of course there is!" you answer yourself abruptly.
"Nothing like that could happen to a girl so young, vibrant, and lovely"!
You lie to yourself to make it seem better.
"We'll stop her from doing this! We simply won't let her"!!
You don't take the time to understand why.
You don't want anybody to know that your daughter wants to die.
You don't know me. Your too caught up in yourself to care.
Do you even know my favorite color?
Tell me if you dare.
... ... silence ... ...
That's what I thought, you selfish cunt.
What's the matter? A cat got your tounge?
And so I go on, living this empty life...
continually being stabbed in the back by your knife.
So I cut and I bandage.
Others drink, some get high.
But what do I prefer?
To cut and bleed... simply wondering when I'll die.
To answer the question, there IS sanity left.
I just find pleasure
in brushing cheeks with death.
This is hell, and we're both here.
Can you feel it? It's in the air.

Never give your heart away, it will always come back broken.

Wow! Lil One! This is amazing... read it with one gasp of air. You are such a wonderful poet, I LOVE your stuff!
Maybe you can call it... "Hell is in the air".
"Brushing cheeks with death..."
