The cries echoe my screams
Can't you hear them seeping out
That were once so closed within me.

I can see the whole world echoes with my tears.
That endlessly keep flowing into the bottomless pit.

Echoes of my tears,
Would you dare come near
if you could see the darker side of my soul?

Screams transcend where only I seem to just pretend
and close them away forever
but yet the tears cannot hide they glide along my cheeks until they hit the floor
Yet still the screams stay locked for you see
I through away the key long ago.

Can you feel the echoes of my tears?
So tragically they seal my fate.

Rose, I wonder if you would want this posted in a poetry forum, so people could enjoy it? I think Dark would be a great spot to share this at. Let me know, I can move it in a heartbeat!
Very true emotions you've written here, I am sure we have all felt them at one time or another.

A very heartfelt poem.  I really enjoyed the gloom of it.  Quite good writing.

Rosebud,
This is good full of angst and sadness.
Be well

thank you so much fractal and kethry sometimes I really do feel this way I guess we all do. I guess just like anyone else I feel as If I'm alone in it. Sometimes on the outside all seems well but on the inside it's raging all the more. I guess somehow you just have to balance things out. I appreciate your responses.

I first saw this before it was copied here - so when I saw 'thread closed' I read the re's and followed it here. (I feel like Columbo.) No question in my mind it is well and beautifully written, but more importantly - it expresses emotions I am feeling frequently of late.

Thank you Wilfred I see you know I'm a woman of all traits. I sometimes try to throw off how i'm feeling but other days I really feel a gloom way down ,thank you for understanding I'm sure we can all relate to this. Generally I'm better at sharing happiness than sadness it's better to play it off than for me to share it.
