I cherish
A very tender affection..
For life

Although sometimes
Broken with weariness
I try..
To accept my terms
Wth alacrity

The pain..
Like tail lashings
Of a reptile
Ignoring my presence

Someone
Has cursed..
The author of my being

Filling me with
Uneasiness..
Tormenting..
I tremble to think

Still..
Somehow..
This tender affection
For life..
I cherish

The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose...--Hada Bejar

Deb, how poignant and beautiful. Keep the faith, it will be ok. I know it.

~Deb1,...oh we are riding in the same boat gurl. This IS beautiful. Sad. And so like me. In so many ways.

"I cherish
A very tender affection..
For life",....so do I. Even through all the yuck we go through,...I still cherish. Thank you for this lovely work of yours. You write so well. Take care. *Peace.
