Sleep dear one sleep, For your pain shall soon be over, Death shall sweep you way, Peacefully you shall go. Sleep dear one sleep, O' What dreams may you dream, Visions of light in a dark world? Sleep dear one sleep, For it shall soon be over, And peace will be yours to keep. |

~Hey there,....great poem. It makes me think of one I did called Cold Hands a while back....about helping a woman I knew find peace on her last few days of life. She worried so much about all the bad in this world...all the violence and the hungry children and the evil...and I just wanted her to rest. To truly find peace. She was a kind woman...and your poem has brought this to my mind. Heck, I may be way off but your piece made me think of her and the poem that I wrote. Thank you for that. Take care. *Peace. |
