The door shuts softly Footsteps whisper up the stairs Silently, street clothes drop to the floor A nightgown slithers over shoulders Bed springs creak...in protest The wind murmurs...she's home. Two feet hit the floor A door slams loudly Footsteps pound noisily up the stairs Her door slams open Where have you been? The silent stillness shatters Linda Tiuch |

~Ah Gosh,...you got me with this one. I was there. You've captured this so well that I could feel the anticipation as those feet pounded up those stairs. Well done. Take it easy. *Peace. |

Oooh, that was a good one, L, feel the stress in the person listening to the footsteps. Intense. |

Linda --- I would not want to be the one on the other side of that door...I've heard those footsteps!!! Wonderful images you've brushed with your pen, felt like I was right there. Bonnie |
