for Fran I lay within the bed we shared so many moonless nights And dream about your dark and shining eyes Your scent remains unhindered by the incense on the air No sound remains to mute my silent cries November storms bring frozen snow to softly dust the earth Or wail and bring the cold and driving rain Your warmth is missed as I lay waiting for the grey of dawn A day that brings no solace for my pain I wait for you to come to share my bed with me again Breething softly through the sleeping night I'll soothe your neck and shoulders with my gentle healing touch And urge your dreams and fancies to take flight And when the night is over and the sun shakes us awake We'll rise and each prepare to face the day Then as the evening settles I will wait for your return Never let the night keep you away Sing while you may |

Your scent remains unhindered, I loved this verse..I can always remember the scent of someone dear to me. Loved the whole poem!! The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose...--Hada Bejar |
