The secret's to a happy life, All lie within, One day it becomes second nature, You'll reap an emotional harvest within. Don't dwell on the negatives, Hatred, anger and jealousy are bitter pills, That you can overdose on, They destroy all of life's thrills. Be a shoulder, a friend in need, Always be there for another, Don't take stock of what they've given you, Be the emotional big brother. What you send out comes back to you, Be it good or bad, So why not send out the good things, When they do indeed come back your way you'll be glad. Don't dwell in your own misery, Don't dwell in feelings of hurt or anger, Replace those feelings with positives, Laying the foundations to a brighter future.. What can you do to make things better? Better for you in every way? Listen to music, study some more, get a new job? Start future's ball rolling today. If you sit in misery, Things will never change, You alone have a hand in your destiny, Perhaps it's time to rearrange? Our destiny, our loves, lives and happiness, Lay solely in our own hands, Pull out of your funk and start working, Towards a future of happiness today....... These are just some of the secrets, There are a few more, But karma and positive beliefs and energy, Are enough to open the door... I'll tell you this...... this is another of your best works i seen but i know there are other great ones out there. i believe we each have control of are future to some degree. i also have a poem about the future and control its called destiny I don't have it posted yet but you might want to keep an eye out. i'm looking to read more of your work. Isis, Very true words you have written. we reap what we sow, so make it good. Great poem and point. Definitely one for the book. Nice realistic writing about happiness. Life is what we make it.
