The once erect trees sway, And follow the clouds of the eternal sky. The wind is the breath of God, Breathing life into the world and into me. Thunder clashes, as the eternal war Between ground and sky picks up again. Lightning arcs across the sky showing the evil What it is to clash with the almighty. The rain touches the ground once again, With her life giving hand. All is alive with rivers of the element of life, Bathing the world once again in ancient fluids. And I see, once again, God's grandeur and power. I know, this isn't exactly a dark and depressing poem, but I just felt rather inspired by nature, and felt that I might as well add something a little brighter to cheer anyone needing it, up. BTW, this is also one of my first poems that isn't depressing and solemn, lol. Hope you all like it. ![]() |

~This is so enlightening and beautiful. A breath of fresh air and uplifting....inside all this darkness of mine. Showing me the true awe and beauty of this earth. Thank you for that. *Peace. |

Firstly not ALL posts in dark have to BE dark!!! This was a wonderful piece hon, you described the way anyone feels when really witnessing such a storm, such a display of nature and/or/ie God's strength and fury. Great imagery, great work! ![]() I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

I'd love to stand upon the sea cliff tops when a storm came in and just fly upon the updrafts of power, yes God was there. Great imagery. ![]() Joel < !signature--> I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
