he stopped loving me a year ago...but i still feel the pain of my only love.

~The last words of A Dying Love~

Hang up,
it's all gone.
"I like being alone",
Well I don't.
"I'm gone",
I'm still here waiting for you.
It's left me now,
no more pain.
Wait,
here it comes again.
He's playing games again.
I wish i could win this one.
All my time trying to forget,
such things that i regret.
I can't do it anymore.
Maybe I'll try just once.
For Him.
He knows what it does to me.
The pain,
the agony.
He won't love me,
but he can play.
Why do I let myself love him to death?

Don't let yourself love him to death! There are many more fields to plough, and not all of them are arid!
Very good expression here!

Nik, I honestly have known this pain, and it has happened more than once. The funny thing is, each one still hurts a little. But the worst of the pain will go away,I think its so important to not let him tease you back and forth. If he is just playing with your feelings, it is cruel, and he does not deserve any of your time or love. (I know, easy to say and hard to do) Just want to send you some support. Lots of us at DP have been there, and happy things are still coming to you, so believe.
Take care

Keep moving on the pain will go away if you let it. you deserve better than a games player unless it's fun.

'Your pain is for you alone
As it was,
As it is,
As it will be forever'

There is no life without pain. Revel in it. Accept it. Move on to pleasure.
Good work here, I liked this very much.

A final word before you go away
my love my life my yesterday
Tommorrow is warm and filled with promise
Leave me now or you'll regret it
My heart may yearn for what you were
but my mind it knows you for what you are
Manipulate and tease my life away from me
Im claiming it back so get away from me
I'm aware of your tricks your subterfuge
the lies you spread and the things you do
Leave before i turn nasty to
i'll make you bleed when i stab you through
My heart is no toy, love is no game
I spit on you know in the truths name

Your time is now over
My heart is not won
Get ye gone from me know
Your place is now gone

If you catch my drift

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling

Thought provoking...
I believe we so desperately hold on perhaps because we are afraid of new pain...a fresh heartache.
And yet the very next one could be the right one for us...how long must we desperately hold onto hopes for the wrong one while each new day is an opportunity to find the right one...James

Another painful poem.  You can almost feel the pain as you read.  I guess for some reading it they CAN feel the pain.
