Cigaretts burn and smoke floats, Time stops when I see you, Holding a smoke and smiling, Walking across the garage, The way you mess with your hair, Nothing will ever be how it was, I'll never look at you so lovinginly, You'll never look back so wantingly, Sometimes things get too hard, Sometimes people stop caring, Sometimes nothing else matters, And sometimes people fall apart Things change and people leave, I still cry when I think of you, Sitting in the dark and crying, Lying on my bed, The way I remember needing you, It will always be like this, I'll never kiss you so meaningfully, You'll never kiss me so sweetly, Sometimes things get too hard, Sometimes people stop caring, Sometimes nothing else matters, And sometimes people fall apart |

Ginners, this is the first I have seen from you. I feel like I could have written this myself. I can see the man walking in the garage smoking. I can smell the smoke. Wonderfully visual, and poignant sense of loss. I have been there, and am still there. Take care.Catalinamoon |

What a beautiful poem... you have an amazing talent. I, too, have lain on my bed and cried countless times over losses... the wonderful thing is most of the losses have turned out to be gains. You'll pull through.. keep writing. |
