As I walk through waves of heat That threaten to take me under, I can smell, feel, even taste The tease of Winter on the Barely moving wind. It brings the memory of Cool arms that rocked me into slumber. His heat would join with mine; Losing sight of our begin And our end. The snow would trickle away, Rivulets of newly made rain. In the midst of sparkling cold And dazzling ice, He would reach to my glistening Brow and wipe away the Sweat that sprang up there, Kiss gone the beads that sat On my upper lip. Paths of wet tracks- He would follow down my back. Reminding me of the heat of Summer. When it is the sun and Its roasting rays making My skin wet, Not the motion of my lover, His hands, His sensual way. *****kynder Sunshine can not bleach The snow, Nor time unmake what Poets know. Beautiful, sensual poem, and it's so unfair that now it is sun and not that wonderful lover, making you warm. Life really needs to make a change for the better here, for a lot of us at this forum. Take care. Moonbeam |
