The Rhythm of Love

There was once something in the air...
A Mambo beat
That called to my feet.
Or was it the Tango dance
That made me take the chance?
I think it was the Samba show
That made me get up and go.
But there was something in the air that night...
Was it the Cha-Cha number
That made the desire stronger?
Perhaps it was the Waltz's romance
That pulled me to dance.
I prefer to think it was the Fox Trot
For, in its softness, I was caught.
But there was certainly something in the air...
It could have been the Merengue
That pushed my thoughts away.
But the Rumba rhythm was strong
And it could have been that all along.
Yet I can't ignore the Swing and the Jive
That made me feel more than alive.

No, that something in the air that night...
Was unmistakably love.

Enjoyed this.  Like the way you introduced all these dance styles.  And love the ending.

Was it the beat of the dance
that brought me to my feet
or my love for you that
made the dance so sweet?
