I had given up the hope of the reuniting I had dreamed of I had given up the hope of you and I reuiniting as an "us" Then to my surprise you called out to me the only way you know how and as ICQ "uh-oh"ed away and I thought back of yesterdays You too reminisced You reminded me of our anniversary and then asked me out for coffee And although my mind was saying that it was a battle that couldn't be won my heart lead the way and I met you, late friday at "our" table in the corner Tim Hortons We talked about our new lives We talked about the struggles I avoided the ever strong topic and you brought it up You told me that you realized that you had thrown away all that mattered You had let your fears rule your life and regretted every moment I told you I missed you too and had now for three months that every moment without you was like a lifetime of misery and sitting there at the table we knew the one we sat so many times before on the night of our would be anniversary You finally came back to me. |

I read this and was amazed at how close to home it hit. My husband and I seperated for 3 months and almost got divorced, but now I'm back(not sure yet if it was the right move though). We talked on ICQ and MSN while I was away........AMAZING LITL, Heather With God all things are possible. |

I like this poem mostly because it's so real.....plain language and real settings....it's great. Love, Stephanie Lafleur "Can anything be sadder than work unfinished? Yes: work never begun." ~Christina Rossetti |

God, how I long for this to come true for me too. I have to agree with Heather in that it hits Home. Fears are ruling my "Significant Other's" life too. I long to hear, "...regretted every moment". Every moment is a lifetime of misery. Anyway, thank you for sharing this very real and well written offering. Peace, Geoffrey |

Stephanie Thanks so much for reading and feeling the realness of this peice, I tried to write this one with a little more imagery and life, but when I finally sat down and it was completed the reality of the situation and the emotions I felt were all I had come up with. Geoffrey, thank you too for reading this peice. I hope in it hitting home it didn't hurt too much. Everyday for three months I longed to hear those words too, and when I actually did hear them I didn't really believe it was happening... I can't tell you things have been perfect since, we've had our ups and downs, but there was a reason why we got back together, and there is a lot of good within all of our downs. If you and her are meant to be together it'll happen and if not then you'll find somebody else who makes you even happier than her.
