Betrayer

Black clouds descending upon me
Feeling lost and desperate
Strike out
Flailing in a sewer of uncertainty

Drowning in the lies you told
The pain enfolds me and I sink beneath its weight
The vile truth of who you are
Chokes me with rage and fills me with disgust

Betrayer of children
Womanizer
Emotional predator
Your wound your prey leaving it
To die in abject horror and pain

After you have hunted do you feel satisfied
Do you stop hungering for the pain you cause
Are you at peace with yourself
How can this be so simple for you
To walk away from the ones you claimed to love

You betrayed my children and me
Beware of me
Although I am crippled now it is only temporary
Leave while you still can

If I recover my heart and you still remain close
I will tear yours out
Leaving it for the vultures and
I will never look back

Dance like no one's watching.
Love like it's never going to hurt.
If it does hurt, shoot em! <Grin>

Oh my, I would say I feel sorry for this person when you are done with them.
But I do have to say I know how you feel.

Hi Michelle,

I don't know if this poem is about yourself, but I must say that it truly represents what a woman in that position would feel.  Thanks for sharing it.

Love,
Stephanie Lafleur

Michelle, this is one powerful poem, and I'd feel sorry for anyone that might be the one that would hurt you.... Got my vote.

A very realisitic portrayel of how we often feel when betrayed by those that we thought cared for us.  It seems you put a lot of emotion into it.  I could feel the shock and rage in result to the betrayel.
