My favorite spot is Grand Traverse Bay
Holds true on any given day
Old Mission Peninsula splits east and west
Reaching out towards the lake never to rest

In the summer the view is breath taking
There will be no mistaking
On the water the sun gleams
Illuminating the beauty with it's beams

Waves gently caressing the sand
In awe of nature's symphony I stand
Inhaling the pure fresh air
A hint of pine lingers there

Ducks swim and play on the beach
Well within my hand's reach
Looking out I see lush green trees
Almost as far as my eye sees

I am moved by the grandeur of this sight
Takes my soul to a new height
Sitting here my heart is at peace
God has granted me sweet release
